AIBMR Joins NIH’s National Library of Medicine Network

AIBMR Life Sciences was named an Affiliate Member of the National Network of Libraries of Medicine by the Director of the National Library of Medicine at the National Institutes of Health (NIH). Membership in the NH/LM recognizes AIBMR’s library as a source of high quality information services that benefits the health care community.

Kathryn Milhorn, B.A., M.I.L.S., whose Master’s degree is in information and library sciences, was instrumental in securing AIBMR’s membership in the network. Kathryn has been a librarian in Florida, New York, Oregon, and Washington, including the Washington State Library, the Pratt Institute Library in New York, and Oregon’s Regence Blue Cross and Blue Shield, before joining AIBMR. Dr. John Endres, Chief Scientific Officer for AIBMR said, “This extends our research capabilities in supporting staff’s need for broader and faster access to scientific literature.” AIBMR’s library is noted for having a number of rare and hard to find holdings and is a tremendous resource for natural products researchers.
